When a child is struggling, it is not just a family issue - it is a community responsibility.

— Kimberly Allen

In 2020, Kimberly experienced the most unimaginable loss a parent can endure - the loss of her son, Jordan Dunn, to fentanyl poisoning. Out of profound grief and love, Jordan's Room was founded to help ensure no other family has to live this experience.

While Jordan's tragic passing led to the creation of Jordan's Room, the organization's mission is also shaped by Kimberly's first hand journey as a mother navigating the mental health struggles of both of her children. During some of her family's most vulnerable moments, she searched for support from schools and medical systems and found critical gaps in care.

Through lived experience, Kimberly understood that meaningful change requires more than crisis response. Jordan's Room centers its approach on identifying root causes, prioritizing early intervention, and implementing science-backed methods to address childhood and adolescent mental health challenges and substance misuse while walking alongside families with empathy, dignity, and hope.

Together, we heal our community, one family at a time.
